The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law "On Ratification of the European Convention on the Legal Status of Children Born out of Wedlock"

Regulations of the Convention seek to assimilate the status of children born out of marriage with that of children born by married parents concerning paternal affiliation scientific evidence, recognition or contestation of paternity and renunciation of it, parental obligations to maintain a child, the right of inheritance, etc.

A relevant Bill was registered at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by Reg. No.0093.
